The location was convenient to Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, Lake Tahoe, and restaurants in the area. We expected an older, run down inn; but, were pleasantly surprised that this was up to Hilton standards with a clean, modern gym, modern lobby, breakfast area, and room. We enjoyed the heated indoor pool and hot jacuzzi as well as the fresh fruit, scones, scrambled/hard boiled egg options, wheat/white bread options, sausages, bacon, waffles, nuts, granola, and yogurt for breakfast.

Location is great. Beds were comfy. Pool and hot tub were excellent! An easy walk to some good restaurants (5050 Brewing Company, a Thai place) and the bike trail. Close to both Truckee and Lake Tahoe by car, and the TART bus stop. The welcome cookie was a nice treat after a long day on the road. Hotel has a library with lots of fun books to borrow, lovely landscaping, and a great pool/hot tub area. The area smelled lovely, like vanilla pines, and the bear decor was charming.

I love the location of this place. We’ve stayed here a few times and I always book the lake view. Rooms are clean. Restaurant is good. I would give the restaurant a 4- out of 5. They greet you with a glass of champagne at the front desk of the hotel which is lovely. I wouldn’t call it a 5 star hotel but definitely a decent 4. I wish the prices weren’t as high. But, everything is more expensive now. We will come back here. I’m grateful for a wonderful experience. Love Lake Tahoe!

There were a lot of bad reviews overall but we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and quite big and the bed was very confy. The only bad thing would be the bathroom because of the shower (water dripping on the floor) but that wasn’t a bid deal. The room was really warm and cozy at night and we enjoyed out stay (we even booked 2 more nights directly to the hotel after our stay ended). Definitely recommend for a cheap stay in South Lake Tahoe.

We loved the heating. Have had very bad experience in both coasts, with brand name national chain hotels in the three weeks prior to this trip to South Lake Tahoe. Please share this particular feedback with Blue Lake Inn management. Then we liked the price and the location (walkable to the Gondola (though it was closed on the day we visited), the Casinos and the Transit Center where the bus we took ended/started).

Very good place to stay when looking for active vacation with the kids in Truckee area. The hotel was comfortable, well equipped and in reasonable reach to all major sites we wanted to visit incl. Lake Tahoe. Breakfast was good and we were also positively surprised by the level of window noise isolation (our windows were just above the highway but no way to figure that out by it's noise, it was really silent).

The hotel itself is very old, but exceptionally clean. We needed to sleep 6, so picked this hotel because it would do the trick. We didn't expect a separate room for one of the queen beds, which was really a nice surprise. Additionally, we didn't expect a kitchen, which was also nice. It was located just off the main road running through downtown South Lake Tahoe, so very convenient.

Love this boutique hotel. The rooms are well appointed, clean and feel like you are in the mountains. The property is walkable to downtown Truckee, and easy driving distance to skiing and Lake Tahoe. The restaurant serves a great breakfast and they have a small bar which serves drinks next to a fireplace in the evening. We'll definitely stay here again!

Lake Tahoe is beautiful place and Elet hotel was really nice place to stay. It was clean and quiet, maybe because may is not a peak season for tahoe, ski resort is really close with coffe shops, gondola and food options. We went to the park next to lake which was beautiful as well.

Check-in and out were fast. Excellent location for people who want to explore South Lake Tahoe and hit the powder slopes. The hotel also provided discounts for one of the most popular pub restaurants nearby, which was definitely a plus. Our room was clean when checking in.

The location of the hotel is great! We were there for a concert at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena and it was about 3 minutes of a walk to the arena. It was also located close to the strip with all the activities and restaurants. Good hotel that offers breakfast as well.

PERFECT LOCATION in South Shore Lake Tahoe. awesome property ON THE BEACH! room was decent size. and we had adjoining rooms, it was PERFECT!!! and 2 restaurants on property! and a beach tiki bar. everything you could want and nightly smores!

Lovely hotel that's a bit different from the norm. Staff were lovely and friendly. Bed was comfy and the room was a decent size. The music on site and the atmosphere was great! Will definitely stay again if we're around Lake Tahoe.

Room was spacious, well equipped and extremely clean. The room and the hotel are very good, it’s just a shame that Lake Tahoe is so commercialised, full of muscle cars, bikers and general noise. Be prepared for the noisy road at the wknd.

Ravi at the front was so kind, great welcome helpful. The room was so nice and clean. The hotel is near every attraction like the lake and nightclub. Everything is perfect. Will be stay here again next time when we travel to Lake Tahoe.

The hot tub in the room with the rotating TV was excellent for a relaxing weekend getaway! We loved the location in South Lake Tahoe. Hotel staff was attentive and it was obvious that they really took time to clean the facilities.

Excellent! First time in lake Tahoe and I'll be back to this hotel. The location is perfect, walking distance to the lake and to several shops and restaurants. Room is comfortable with everything you may need.

The room was super clean also the staff was friendly. when ever I ask for something they will deliver it to my room in 15 minutes or less witch was great , so far this is my favorite hotel in Lake Tahoe:)

Hotel in a very good location, across from Lake Tahoe, with very well-furnished rooms, comfortable, friendly, and helpful staff, ample free parking, fast internet, and hot pools in front of the hotel!

Big room, hygienic and ok bathroom (bit old, but all worked fine). Hotel felt safe, kind staff and delicious breakfast. Nice location: short drive to Reno or Lake Tahoe.
