Lady at the front desk was amazing
They fixed my bill.
This was our 2nd visit. We also went four years ago, but a couple of weeks earlier (mid-Jan instead of early Feb). We live in MN and like the warmer temps for a winter break. We did many of the same things we did in our last visit - sunrise walks on the beach, beach combing, Turtle Inc, Bird & Reptile Sanctuary, great meals in the restaurants, sunsets on the lagoon, shopping. We also enjoyed the park on the south end of the island and went on the dolphin watch tour (Original Dolphin Watch and ECO tour). Both were very enjoyable. It's fairly quiet on the island in Jan & Feb before spring break and hotels are more affordable. Temps are great for upper midwesterners.

We visit S Padre Island every year and totally enjoy the area. You can visit the turtle rescue and bird sanctuary. See dolphins by the fishing pier and walk the beach as far as you want to. Dog friendly beach and motel.

I was there in January.
I was there in January. There were a lot of restaurant choices. Many of the bars and restaurants had live entertainment and drink/food specials everyday. There are a lot of golf cart and bicycle rentals available which is great if you don't have a car to get around. I stayed in a place that was close to the beach and could walk to many different places. Lobos Del Mar had great food, entertainment and an awesome location to watch the sunsets and go for a Ferris Wheel ride. Clayton's is great!! It's a must if you like sitting in the sun listening to live music and visiting with friendly people. I found a great little place on the beach to have breakfast at the Palms called Cafe on the Beach. Try it, you will really like it!

Might have been a great place twenty years ago but it looked tired and worn out. Really pitiful. They had gutted the pool and Jacuzzi so if the winds weren't blowing 40 mph we would have enjoyed a hot tub. Especially since our room didn't have hot water. We took REALLY fast showers!

It was great! Full kitchenette. The view of the pool great. The only thing is charging for the umbrella on the beach. There should not be a charge. I did get partial pool view which was great too. I highly recommend this hotel and resort.

The beach was right at the end of the property. You could be in the outdoor areas (except in the pool) and still see the beach. Breakfast offered several hot choices, but alas, no waffles. The rooms were large with two table areas (one perfect for board games and one perfect for breakfast), and the bathroom was large and comfortable as well. Pillows were numerous and comfortable. There was a restaurant and two bars on the property, as well as other bars at other hotels all interlocked through gates.
Very Old & dingy. So musty I could hardly breath, bought a can of lysol & that helped some.
TV was larger thN most places & nice so I guess they find that more important than other options.
Website doesn't let you know that it is a hotel that is more for cheaper living.
Weekly & monthly rates.
Definitely won't stay there again or recommend it to anyone.
The hotel was really nice. Our room was nice and comfortable.
Located right on the beach so close proximity. The pool area was great too with swim up bar. The restaurant on site has delicious tacos and the bands playing were great too. The ambiance/vibe at Margaritaville was perfect for vacation.
Seeing my name on the TV was a very nice touch. Tiffaney was awesome and I really was excited to have a partial ocean view! The 12 hour drive was worth it after arriving at the hotel. The staff was amazing and the overall experience was tremendous!
Pool temperature and size were really good, the room also was also bigger than expected for a Hotel like this. Since SPI is relativily small, Hotel was close to everything since we had a car, it was a good option for the weekend.
Rooms were very clean. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of soft pillows. Breakfast was not bad. Beach was a little ways from the hotel. Beachside, not on the beach. Hospitality was not too friendly.
There is not a bad location anywhere on the island. I didn't stay at a Hilton or Marriott. I didn't need to. For the price per night stay at the South Padre Island Inn you could not beat the price.
The hotel staff was nice. It's located on the beach. They only use internet for TV. The office doesn't always have staff on duty
Music on patio all hours but not heard in rooms when door closed.
The employees were super nice. The man that checked us in was really helpful! So was the employee helping us at breakfast. Definitely our go to hotel when we stay in south padre island.
