We have selected below some of our projects that don’t have sufficient volunteers over the next few weeks --- and we have subsidised them by giving you a big reduction in price! This is our way of helping the projects and also giving you an opportunity to help them as well, while having a fun travel experience.

The only catch is that you have to book and start the placement within the next 4 weeks.

SOUTH AFRICA:
Vervet Monkey Care, Rehabilitation and Release in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal

Minimum Duration: 2 weeks.

Help to care for, rehabilitate and release injured and abandoned Vervet Monkeys back into the wild to live a free and natural life. This is a wonderful project that encompasses all aspects of Vervet Monkey Rehabilitation and Conservation ... not to be missed!

You'll work with a Non-Profit Organisation that specialises in the care, rehabilitation & return to the wild of Vervet Monkeys that have been injured, orphaned or displaced, usually as a result of actions on the part of people.

ECUADOR:
Galapagos Islands Conservation, Reforestation and Community Project

Minimum Duration: This project is for a minimum duration of 4 weeks.
Help preserve the native and endemic forests of San Cristobal Island. This project combines environmental, community and social initiatives to improve the sustainability of the islands. Plus, it’s loads of fun!

Centre is popular with international volunteers and there is loads going on, from horse-riding therapy, to wandering giant tortoises, to reforestation work, to coaching football to local kids. And you can jump on a bike and head down the mountain into the local town for even more action!

ARGENTINA:
Monkey and Primate Rescue and Rehabilitation near Cordoba

Minimum Duration: 1 week.

Rescue, rehabilitate and eventually release the monkeys back into the wild, so that they are self-sufficient. The monkeys are often in a terrible condition. They have successfully reintroduced over 100 monkeys back into the wild to live a natural life in their natural habitat. You'll assist in helping to rehabilitate the monkeys, including the orphaned babies.

SOUTH AFRICA:
Great White Shark Project near Cape Town
Price: £150 (US $185) REDUCTION OFF THE REGULAR PRICE if you book this project to start within the next 28 days. Please note that the discount will be applied when you receive your invoice and won’t be shown when you complete the booking form. .
Minimum Duration: 1 week.

View the Great White Shark in its natural environment, either from a boat or an underwater cage. You'll also see Cape Gannets, Bryde Whales, Cape Fur Seals, Dolphins and Jackass Penguins. You'll receive training in White Shark biology, research, behaviour, conservation, changing attitudes, shark attacks, basic seamanship, underwater filming, still photography and shark tourism.

Weather permitting you'll go to sea frequently, working with the sharks from above and below the water. Much emphasis will be placed on observing behaviour and the interactions of sharks around the boat.
